I am a bioinformatician with a maths background (MSc. Wageningen UR, BSc. Universiteit van Amsterdam) currently pursuing a PhD (UiT: Arctic University of Norway) in the field of protein interaction prediction via sequence coevolution. My focus is on extending the coevolutionary method of predicting residue-residue contacts beyond the prokaryotic proteins to eurkaryotic protein complexes, which present new challenges in terms of sequence availability and overall complexity of the prediction problem. I am analysing pathways such as the mTOR and NAD in this way, and searching for insights into the specific regions of protein-protein interaction.
