I am a PhD student at the biomolecular and structural chemistry group at UiT. The project is focusing on the molecular mechanisms behind antibiotic resistance caused by enzymes called β-lactamases. The aim is to create libraries of mutants that can be analyzed and compared through a variety of methods, including surface plasmon resonance, isothermal titration calorimetry and protein crystallography.

I have a master’s degree in marine biotechnology from UiT, where the project was to isolate, elucidate and characterize securidine analogues and other novel compounds from a marine bryozoan.
