BioCat understands the importance of a strong community in building transdisciplinary collaborations. We therefore encourage students to visit other relevant universities, research institutions, and industries and provide financial support for travel.

  • The first step is to apply to BioCat for a grant. There may be limits to how much grant money an individual can receive over one calendar year. See the travel grant and research visit grants for more info.
  • Once the grant has been approved by the administration, the member is expected to personally cover all costs associated with the grant. Please use Berg Hansen to book your flight and be sure to keep your boarding passes for the reimbursement process.
  • When the terms of the grant are fulfilled, the member will submit a claim for reimbursement from BioCat. Grant applications are accepted on a rolling basis, and there is no deadline.
