I have a BSc in Molecular Biology and a MSc in Biomedicine from University of Bergen. After graduating in June 2020, I worked for half a year as a research engineer in the Thomas Arnesen lab.

Since February 2021 I am a PhD candidate in Molecular Biology in the Arnesen lab at the Department of Biomedicine. My project is focused on actin and actin Nterminal acetylation in relation to cancer metastasis.

The goal of my PhD project is to study the effect actin N-terminal acetylation have on the dynamics of the cytoskeleton, and further how this may impact cancer cell migration, invasion and metastasis using various cancer cell models. My scientific interest and expertise that I have gained so far lays in the field of cell biology, microscopy, and live-cell imaging of different cancer cell models.
