I started working with Nikolina Sekulic’s group in Spring of 2022. My work is centered on understanding the dynamics of enzyme complex changes in response to phosphorylation and to screen small molecule inhibitors that specifically targets Aurora B/INCENP interaction. Prior to joining NCMM, I worked at Jubilant Biosys Ltd., Bengaluru, for a duration of 18 months. My work expertise from this stint includes: cloning and expression in both prokaryotic and eukaryotic systems, purification of proteins, designing of synthetic gene in different expression vectors and crystallization and data collection, among others. Subsequently, I joined the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), in Bengaluru, where I worked for 2 years and 6 months. My work at NIMHANS concentrated on understanding the physiological role of alpha-synuclein within the nucleus. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology and a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (MBBT) from Dibrugarh and Tezpur University respectively.
