I have a BSc in Chemical Engineering from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences (Finland) and a MSc in Biotechnology from Aalto University (Finland). I have worked in several research projects in the field of biotechnology. The topic of my bachelor’s thesis was to optimize the bioproduction of volatile fatty acids from food waste and in my master’s thesis I worked with protein production, purification and characterization of expansin-like proteins. In addition to my studies, I have worked at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd as a research engineer in bioprocess engineering team. This autumn I started my PhD in The Protein engineering and Proteomics group (PEP) at NMBU in the DENITRO project, where I am focusing on oxidative enzymes and their role in anoxia.
