Jessica has been the administrative coordinator of BioCat since February 2020. She has a background in administration, communications and marketing and was the temporary Communications Advisor for the Centre for Arctic Gas Hydrate, Environment and Climate (CAGE) at UiT, a Norwegian Centre of Excellence, from November 2018 to November 2019.
Jessica is the founder of Green Door Creative Consultancy, a sole proprietorship offering a variety of business consultancy services for industry and academia. In Norway she has previously served as Head of Communications and co-organizer for the BIOPROSP conference, Head of Communications for Biotech North, and Head of Business Development and Office Administration for Njorth Bio_ AS.
She received a Master’s Degree in Business Creation and Entrepreneurship from UiT – The Arctic University of Norway in 2013. At Central Michigan University she received a B.A.A. in Broadcast and Cinematic Arts (Communications) with a minor in Marketing.
In her free time, Jessica likes to paint (oil, watercolor, and acrylic) and is part of Designkollektiv 99 in Tromsø where she sells her artwork. She also enjoys partner dancing (salsa, bachata, Brazilian zouk, kizomba, and swing) and has one daughter.
