Nicolai Alsaker is a PhD student at department of chemistry at UiB working with Willy Nerdal, Bengt Erik Haug and Nathalie Reuter on the NFR funded PePrMInt project. The PhD project studies the interaction between lipid membranes and synthetic oligopeptides with analysis by solid-state NMR, as a model for better understanding peripheral membrane protein binding.
He holds a MSc in organic chemistry from NTNU, during which he worked with total synthesis targeted towards natural products and structural characterization. He has experience in R&D from the pharmaceutical industry having worked at GE Healthcare.
