I have a BSc in biotechnology from NMBU and a MSc in industrial and environmental biotechnology from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden. The last semester of my master´s studies, I returned to NMBU for the thesis work. The thesis work was conducted in collaboration with David Lapeña Goméz and we developed a repeated fed-batch process for production of protein-rich yeast. In August 2019, I started my PhD project at the BioRef-group at NMBU with Prof. Svein Jarle Horn as my main supervisor. The main goal is to develop a production process for heterotrophic growth of oil-rich microalgae that can be used as a feed ingredient for fish. This work is also a part of the OIL4FEED-project at NMBU. I am particularly interested in fermentation technology, single cell protein and single cell oils.
