Peter Elias Kidibule is a Post-Doctoral Researcher at Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU), faculty for chemistry, biotechnology and food science. In April 2021, he defended his PhD with cum laude and extraordinary doctorate award from at the Autonomous University of Madrid, Spain (UAM) with a dissertation entitled “Use of chitinolytic materials to obtain bioactive oligosaccharides. Characterisation of biocatalysts and products”.

Earlier, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from University of Dar es Salaam (Tanzania) and graduated from the master’s programme on Biotechnology, Autonomous University of Madrid. As a PhD candidate Petya received training from University of Siena, Italy. During the last five years Regarding my experience in the academic field, he has supervised a total of 9 Final Degree/Master’s Degree Projects (4 MSc and 5 BSc, 2018-2022) and has collaborated in the teaching of practical classes of the subject “Microbiology” taught by the Dept. of Molecular Biology in the Degree of Biology at the UAM (with more than 130 hours of teaching). Peter has participated in various national and international congresses/meetings and published 12 scientific articles in open access journals such as International journal of molecular sciences, Microbial Cell Factories, Biotechnology Reports, RSC Advances, Biomacromolecules, Computational and Structural Biotechnology Journal, and Catalysts. He also has been a reviewer in two scientific journals and collaborated in the execution of 5 funded projects.
