My name is Sheida Naderi, and I am a PhD research fellow at the University of Stavanger, Department of Chemistry, Bioscience, and Environmental Engineering. Under the supervision of Associate Professor Hanne R. Hagland, I specialize in cancer metabolism and translational oncology with a particular focus on pancreatic cancer and precision medicine. My academic background includes a 5-year master’s degree in Biotechnology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim, which has provided me with a solid foundation in the biological sciences.

My research involves using 3D in-vitro cancer models, such as spheroids and patient-derived tumour organoids, in conjunction with 3D bioprinting technology, to investigate the metabolism of pancreatic cancer cells. This work is part of a broader effort in the field of precision cancer medicine, which aims to customize cancer treatment to the specific genetic and molecular traits of each patient who suffers from this devastating illness.
