I’m Siddhi Pavale, a graduate of the UNESCO Regional Centre for Biotechnology, India. In my master’s project, I delved into the characterization of a protein crucial for cellulase production from filamentous fungi. This experience ignited my enthusiasm for harnessing nature’s tools, particularly fungi, to craft sustainable solutions, exemplified in endeavours like biofuel production.

Now, as I embark on my Ph.D. journey at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences, I delve even deeper into this interest, building upon my experience with filamentous fungi. The focus is on the discovery, characterization, and production of novel fungal enzymes and their accessory proteins that hold tremendous potential for application in the valorization of biomasses targeted by the SFI-IB(https://sfi-ib.com/phd-students).
