My name is Veronica, and I’m a master’s student at the BioRef-group at NMBU, working on novel prebiotics for my master’s thesis. I have a big interest in fermentation technology, and spend a lot of my lab time doing aerobic and anaerobic fermentations with different, potentially novel prebiotics. I also prepare and modify substrates, make fluorescently labeled carbohydrates and use them in my fermentation trials to investigate the uptake of different, complex carbohydrates.
