I am a PhD student at NMBU in the Protein Engineering and Proteomics Group. I got both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biotechnology at the Technical University of Berlin. I did my master’s thesis on the quantification of influenza viruses using scanning electron microscopy and dynamic light scattering at the Fraunhofer Institute for Cell Therapy and Immunology in Potsdam. My PhD thesis is part of the FunEPS project that aims to unravel the fundamental mechanisms of bacterial exopolysaccharide catabolism for use in food and health applications. I always strive to expand my repertoire of methodologies and am looking forward to becoming a member of the BioCat network.
