PhD-student in the field of Structural Biochemistry at NMBU. I have a bachelor’s degree in molecular biology and biological chemistry from UiO and a MSc in Molecular Medicine from NTNU. During my PhD-project, I aim to improve honeybee health trough understanding the structure-function relationship of a protein affecting health and behavior in bees, called Vitellogenin. I plan to project naturally forming allelic variations on to a new and up-to-date tertiary protein structure prediction and relate the potentially effects to binding-capacity of the protein. My project is associated with “Launching the first vaccination programs for a beneficial, pollinating insect” #262137, founded by The Research Council of Norway.
