Description of Research Group

The Ecotoxicology and Environmental monitoring research group is involved in many different activities using both field and experimental approaches.
– Development of biological markers using molecular biology techniques for environmental monitoring.
– Applied proteomic analyses, using mass spectrometry and biochemistry methods to better understand the sub-lethal effects of contaminants on marine organisms
– Isolation and identification of natural bioactive peptides from fish and seaweeds working closely with the industry
