- Identify novel bioactive metabolites from marine invertebrates, algae and microorganisms
- Study mechanisms of action for antimicrobial compounds
- Study marine microbiota and host microbe interactions
- Use of biotechnology in marine research and industry

Molecular microbiology, antimicrobial peptides, luminescent and fluorescent bacterial biosensors
Special equipment we have available at our lab: Flow cytometer, microtiter plate readers (two in incubators one of those with stacker unit), one with injector (not in incubator) Kodak image station 4000 MM fluorescence and
luminescence
Equipment available I am not using myself: HPLC, UHPLC-QTOF-MS, freeze dryer, vacuumcentrifuges
